General rules
- Hair must always be tidy, neat and presentable/suitable for school purposes. The following guidelines are to be used to identify what is categorised as ‘tidy, neat & presentable’.
- Girls will be allowed to wear maroon, black and blue hairbands. No White.
- Hair is to be kept away from the face and should not obstruct vision, both yours and the person sitting behind you.
General Restrictions
- No wigs allowed
- No decorative hair accessories allowed e.g. decorative clips
- No patterns allowed on all cuts or taper fades
- No colouring of hair
- No dye on forehead must be visible
- No shaving patterns on eyebrows will be allowed.If done, eyebrows must be shaved off

- A black coloured hairpiece must be used (preferably nr 1, 2 or 3) in the event a learner braids their hair using artificial hair.

Grade 12 Boys Hair Rules
Suncrest High School acknowledges the importance of recognising maturity, leadership and cultural identity of our senior learners
After careful consideration by the School Management Team and consultation with relevant stakeholders,
Grade 12 boys will be granted the privilege to wear braids or cornrows for the duration of the academic year, subject to the conditions outlined below.

- No hair extensions, decorations beads or flash accessories will be allowed.

- Beads, coloured strings, clips or decorative items are not allowed.

- Students must ensure their hairstules meet the requirements stated in the Code of Conduct hair policy at all times
- The school reserves the right to request immediate correction if the hairstyle doesn't comply.
- Repeated non-compliance may result in disciplinary action according to the School's Code of Conduct.
- Parents may be notified, and the learner may be required to rectify the hairstyle within a given period. Failure to comply could result in detention, uniform suspension or other disciplinary measures.
